Steps/Process:
1.) Getting Started:
- Determine if your location has enough wind.
- Most of the turbines can perform in a class 2 wind speed – starting at 8-9mph

- AB will verify this wind speed information through an industry trusted site.
Determine you current usage - Your utility bill will be helpful for the following:
- Find out current utility provider. What is their policy on net metering and interconnection application and fees?
- How many kW do I consume in a Year?
- Check zoning ordinances in your area. Are you within city, township or county limits
2.) The Next Step:
- Site survey / Planning
- Copy down all the gathered information from above, select tower site, fill out plot plan, identify supply power pole, locate the utility meter -(Installation quote will be determined by site survey and distances from tower to meter)
- Apply for all necessary permits
- Submit application for net metering and interconnection to the appropriate utility provider
3.) Once Approved:
- Installation – usually takes one week start to finish. All Installations are done by Midwest Underground Technology Inc.
- Maintenance – turbine requires once a year preventive maintenance to ensure safety and longevity of unit.
